Every spring the kids and I like to search around the lawn for bird nests. The robin nests are easy to find. You can watch the female collect and carry grasses and mud, then follow her to see where the nest is. Our spruce trees offer a home to many nesting birds.
Robins are always a welcome sight. Though some nests don’t work out, other times we get to watch the birds develop from eggs into fledglings. It’s great for the kids to watch them and learn about nature.
