Learn how to use tracing paper to transfer art from your sketchbook to your final painting surface. By doing all the preliminary drawing and problem solving in another place, you can keep your finished artwork surface clean and undamaged from repeated erasures and stray lines. I’ve used this approach for watercolor, pen an ink, gouache and gessoed boards. It produces light, clean, sharp lines that usually disappear in your final art.
The quick version starts at 4 minutes.
