May is a great time to get all your migrant birds. Once June and July roll around there is a bit of a let-down when everything flies past. At that point I usually start looking for nests around the yard and taking photos of the wildlife of summer. One of my favorite things is pulling out all the macro gear and getting lots of spider an insect shots. I’ve had a fascination with the jumping spiders since I was a little kid. I find them to be quite cute with their big goggle eyes. When photographing them, I swear they watch me. I can wiggle my finger to get their attention and they’ll look right at it. At other times they seem to be staring at their reflections in the camera lens.
