More Backyard Arachnids

Summer is here, so I’m getting as much photo reference for future paintings as I can. I found a cooperative Tan Jumper and female Dimorphic Jumper today and set up the all the photo gear. There were all taken with a Canon 40D, 100mm f2.8 Macro with a 68mm stack of extension tubes. Everything was shot inside a homemade light tent with 4 flashes, one attached to the camera, the rest optically slaved. These should make for some fun paintings.

Jumping spiders are beautiful and fascinating little animals.
